Position: Director of Business Development – Sports & Leisure Location: Remote (with travel, including evenings & weekends) Genuine Foods is seeking a charismatic and driven Director of Business Development to lead growth in entertainment venues, sports arenas, zoos, cultural institutions, theaters, and convention centers. The role involves developing new partnerships, expanding market presence, and delivering proposals to high-profile clients in the sports and live entertainment sector. This position requires a proactive personality, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to work weekends and evenings as needed. Key Responsibilities Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Pursue new business opportunities through networking and outreach. Build trust with stakeholders through professionalism and a positive presence. Strategic Prospecting: Conduct market research, attend industry events, and visit clients to identify opportunities and build a pipeline. Proposal Development: Prepare and respond to RFPs, ensuring strategic positioning. Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms. Financial Analysis: Collaborate internally to assess financial viability and align offerings with profitability goals. Presentation Delivery: Develop and present detailed business proposals highlighting Genuine Foods’ capabilities. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Culinary, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and successful execution. Market Intelligence: Analyze data and performance metrics to guide prospecting and proposal development. CRM & Forecasting: Maintain accurate pipeline records and provide sales forecasts to leadership. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications At least 5 years of consultative sales experience. Minimum 3 years selling contract foodservice solutions to sports, entertainment, or institutional venues. Proven success in securing complex multimillion-dollar contracts. Ability to influence decision-makers and close deals at national and global levels. Experience managing RFPs/RFIs and developing tailored responses. Strong strategic thinking and partnership development skills. Excellent public speaking, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated with organizational skills, creativity, and resilience. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
