Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Quality and Risk to lead our organization’s efforts in ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement. This leadership role is ideal for a healthcare professional who is passionate about driving excellence in care delivery and managing risk proactively across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the organization’s quality assurance and risk management programs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards, including Joint Commission, CMS, and state-specific requirements.
• Oversee root cause analyses, sentinel event reviews, and other risk assessment initiatives.
• Partner with clinical leadership to develop and implement performance improvement plans.
• Provide guidance and education to staff on best practices in quality, safety, and risk mitigation.
• Prepare reports and present findings to senior leadership and board committees.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in healthcare risk management or quality improvement.
• Strong understanding of regulatory standards and healthcare compliance frameworks.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license strongly preferred.
• Advanced degree (e.g., MSN, MHA, MPH) a plus.
• Certification in healthcare quality (e.g., CPHQ) or risk management (e.g., CPHRM) desirable.
