The Product Marketing Director is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies for AssetMark’s products and services. This role involves overseeing a team of investment marketers responsible for product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies to drive advisor acquisition, engagement, and retention. The leader will position AssetMark as a market leader, enhance brand equity, and drive growth through innovative marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with extensive experience in product marketing, brand strategy, and customer experience, with a proven track record of delivering results.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement visionary marketing strategies aligned with AssetMark’s goals. Lead teams in creating go-to-market strategies, brand positioning, and messaging. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure cohesive marketing initiatives.
  • Product Marketing: Oversee product positioning and messaging, develop marketing collateral, drive product launches, and enhance brand recognition through campaigns and partnerships. Utilize customer insights to refine strategies.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team. Set objectives, track performance, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Performance Measurement and Reporting: Establish KPIs, monitor marketing effectiveness, and provide insights to the executive team. Continuously refine strategies based on data and market trends.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of financial services and investment products
  • Excellent writing and relationship-building skills
  • Problem-solving, strategic thinking, and results-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Wrike, Excel, PowerPoint, and measurement tools

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years in senior marketing roles with a strong product and service marketing background
  • Proven success in developing and executing growth-driving marketing strategies
  • Experience in digital marketing, brand management, and customer experience

Additional Information

This is a full-time position in our Concord, CA office with a hybrid work schedule. Compensation ranges from $145,000 to $165,000, with additional incentives and benefits. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available.
