Job Description

IGT is seeking a Network Engineer I to provide essential support for network infrastructure across our Wide Area Progressive (WAP) systems. In this role, you’ll assist senior engineers with installations, maintenance, and operational support in a real-time, 24/7/365 environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and willing to travel as needed to meet business demands.

This position comes with work schedule flexibility, representing roughly 50% in-office (Reno, NV) and 50% remote work from home. 

• Assist senior engineers with network installations, maintenance, and support.
• Perform troubleshooting of network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Participate in the architecture, build, and support of on-premise infrastructure and hosting environments
• Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, best practices, and performance/capacity metrics.
• Participate in network delivery project planning and execution as a team member.
• Assist with system software, application software, hardware, and configuration tasks.
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving critical network related issues
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Support in the direction and implementation of network security policies while conforming to industry best-practices.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technology field or equivalent network certification and experience.
• CompTIA Network+ certification required.
• CCNA or equivalent certification a plus.
• Understanding of basic network infrastructure and technologies, including:
  • WAN/LAN
  • TCP/IP, UDP, and DHCP
  • Routers and switches
  • Fiber optic and copper cabling
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to travel based on business needs.
