DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: Assists nursing staff by transcribing physician's orders during emergent situations. Continuously observes, documents, and reports the cardiac rhythm status in the units and/or on telemetry. Performs clerical duties ensuring accuracy of unit records. Serves as communication center for nursing unit. Performs other duties as assigned by Director, Clinical Manager and Clinical Supervisor. RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmias courses required within three (3) months of employment. Medical Terminology preferred. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: BLS issued through American Heart Association preferred.
